There are several manufacturers of gas cooktops worldwide and this list grows as gas cooking becomes more popular.
Amongst these brands, as with any other product, certain manufacturers stand out from the rest in terms of quality and design.
Some of the more popular and preferred brands are, in no particular order:
Frigidaire
After initially manufacturing refrigerators early in the 1900s, Frigidaire, a United States company, has grown into a well trusted household brand.
They now manufacture a range of products including washing machines, air conditioners, stoves and cooktops.
Their products are known for their quality and reliability and in 2020, according to the community survey website Ranker, consumers ranked Frigidaire as the third best appliance brand, after KitchenAid and Whirlpool.
KitchenAid
Founded in 1919, this American company initially manufactured stand mixers.
KitchenAid has since expanded dramatically and are manufacturers of dishwashers, wall ovens, cooktops and more.
As mentioned above, they ranked first in the 2020 survey by Ranker as the best appliance brand.
Bosch
Founded in 1886 as the “Workshop for Precision Mechanics and Electrical Engineering”, Bosch, as the company is known today, is a well-known brand all over the world with products in the automotive, household and DIY industries, to name a few.
Ramblewood
This Colorado based company is relatively new on the scene.
Ramblewood manufactures mainly gas and induction cooktops and promote green technology.
Their cooktops have a 4 out of 5 average rating on Amazon and they pride themselves in their products being designed for simplicity and serviceability, as well as being built and tested for reliability.
Thor Kitchen
Manufacturing mainly cooktops, ovens and ranges, Thor Kitchen strives to equip every type of cook with professional appliances by committing to offer fair prices.

Empava
